Who said an informative handbook had to be boring?
The Royal Lymington Yacht Club produce a Members’ Handbook each year containing information about members, their contact details, boats and other Club rules, articles and notices. With such a huge body of data, there’s a risk that 150 black and white pages could be… well… boring.
Utilising smart text styling, page formatting and a fresh typeface, it was a rewarding task to get over 68,500 words packed into this little A5 beauty along with 17 adverts, instructional illustrations, tide times and further reference material.
Working closely with the print managers, cost saving were achieved by printing a majority of pages in a single colour with up to a 30% reduction in costs over previous editions with nothing but an increase in the finished quality.
